Rating:  - Blokus is a BlastI purchased this toy for my nephew who is in the 2nd grade and quite smart. I wanted something educational and fun...and I really feel this toy hit the mark! He really loved it and so did the adults! Even my three-year-old daughter had fun "playing" with it following her own rules. I bought Blokus based largely on all the positive reviews I read online and the fact that it has won a ton of awards, including one from Mensa. The game is made up of a basic base and many many small game pieces...all of which seem fairly durable since they are made of plastic. Rating: - This game rocks!We have three children ages 11, 7 and 6 and love to play games. As a teacher, I am always looking for games that are open ended and build on strategy. This is a superior game, I love it and think it is appropriate for ages 4 (if you have an experienced game player) and up! My husband and I play without the kids too. If you are looking for a great game, that won't run out of excitement, this is your pick! Rating: - Like four games in one!My in-laws bought Blokus for my son for his 6th birthday...and kept it at their house for the first month before we could pry it away! They promptly bought their own game, and we all enjoy ours at our house. Blokus takes only a moment to learn how to play, but like so many other games it takes a lifetime to master. Each game is a geometrical puzzle somewhere between Tetris and Risk, and you can play with any number of players from one to four. Each way is quite different in strategy, so it's almost like four games in one. Not to mention that it is a real mathematical treat, it'll have you thinking spatially and planning out moves in advance. It'll be a while before my son fully "gets" the idea...if you have a kindergartener you might try Fundomino instead...but get Blokus, too--it's a real gem! My grandchildren and adult children along with my husband and myself are addicted to this game. I also purchased the Blokus Trigon game so more people can play at once! Rating: - Great Game for EveryoneThis is an excellent game for everyone in the family. It is easy to learn and easy to play. It is a house favorite. Only down side is that it's really only fun for four people, the two and three person versions of the game aren't nearly as good. Buy it, you will love it.
