Rating: - Nice product for the money.I really like this player and have had no problems with it. It does sucks at playing random songs as it gets hung up on one artist before moving on. I have had problems playing any kind of videos, in fact I have yet to play any videos! It does play music well and it's menu is very user friendly. The software is easy to use and works great. Over all I like it for music and pictures but have given up on videos. Rating: - love creativeI have been using this for over a month now and the only problem I have is that the pause button is small. I use it for audio books and the bookmark is great to remember where you were. If you start up bookmark and then put the rest of disc in as ad to selected tracks it is great. Use it to show pics of vacations to friends with sd card. I had the vision w which I destroyed the screen on after several years of heavy abuse. I use it in a performance setting every week and creative has always taken a beating. I started with a Dell which was made by creative years ago and it still is chugging along. It's a brick with 20gb and has done alot of heavy duty. Rating: - Good Player -- Great Price *NOT*Snagged one of these the last time they were on special. Had it about a month and have been pretty impressed so far. Battery life is reasonable and it recharges very fast. The screen quality is excellent and the navigation is pretty easy to use. Volume level is decent, although you have to crank it up all the way to get enough volume to play through the MP3 jack on a car stereo or drive an FM modulator. Yes, you can rip a movie and watch it -- but it takes a while. The PC software can be a bit confusing, but once you work with it a while you will understand it. Found no real flaws other than the menus rather clunky, the screen being easy to scratch and the buttons hard to find and press accurately in low light (needs backlit keys). Good bang for the buck compared to other players. Flash forward to 12/1/08: Starting recently, every so often when I powered the unit off while a song was playing, it would start playing a different song (and album) when powered back on. Always skipped to the same song at exactly the same place within the song. A few days later, I pressed a button to skip to the next song and the unit locked up -- it looked like the song was paused. The power switch and buttons did not work -- had to use the reset button to shut it off. Long story short, its dead-dead and I'm having some difficulty getting an RMA from Creative. Maybe not a good deal after all. Flash forward to 12/8/08 Never had any luck with the online RMA page -- got to the last screen and received an error message. Tried several different computers with different browsers with the same results. Called the phone number listed on the error page, but it was not for customer service. Finally got in touch with someone at Creative after calling several toll-free numbers to get the support department's non-free number. talked with a person who spoke poor English and was finally given an RMA number and said he would waive the $35 repair fee because of the holidays. The unit is only four months old. Flash forward to 12/23/08 The item arrived at the repair facility on 12/10/08 and was finally logged into their online RMA status page a few days later. As of this posting there has been no update to the status since it arrived. They claim to handle most repairs in 10 business days, but you have to wait at least 15 business days before calling the non-free number to find out what the delay is. Flash forward to 1/5/08 Contacted the RMA department by phone today and was told the issue was 'battery not charging.' They are waiting on a replacement unit and repairs were delayed by the holidays. They could not confirm the unit would be returned in the near future. Than goodness my wife's ancient Sandisk player still works -- at least I have some tunes. Rating: - Wonderful MP3The size is small and thin with big screen. It has different functions. The price is reasonable.
