Rating: - After One Month, I'm Very HappyAfter a lot of research and price comparison, I decided to buy this MP3 player, and it was a great decision. Here are the aspects that I've been enjoying the most: - I don't remember what the method is called, but I love that you can put media onto the player without using their program. Programs are supposed to be user friendly, but I HATE them. I like that I have the freedom to open the player as a drive, then drag and drop my media. - If I'm halfway through a podcast, then switch to something else, it will give me the option to start the podcast later where I left off. - I can use my sandisk micro card to add memory. I basically have a 12 GB player for less than 100 dollars. - Battery life is pretty good, and it clearly let's you know what you have left. You don't have to make a general guess between 2/3 left and 1/3 left. - The media conversion software has worked well for me so far. - It has a radio built in, with the ability to record from the radio. It's bee great for me. Good luck with your choice. Rating: - Wonderful little gadget to view porn in publicThe SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB MP3 Player (Silver) is a well made mp3 player very much inline with the Ipod Nano but without requiring you to install a resource heavy application to hear your music. It's screen is bright and amazingly has decent resolution for video while he FM functions well but the mic is more a gimmick than useful way to breach nation security or blackmail colleagues. Those are the good parts, crap hits the fan when you try to upload videos. You have to install a media converter from Sandisk's website (because they are too busy to include it in the stupid mini cd they put in the box)that doesn't search for you so you have to muck about your hard drive trying to find The Watchmen Trailer that you have or you find out that Sandisk doesn't like your Realplayer so those videos are going to stay in the pc. I wouldn't gripe so much if the mp3 part was not so very easy. Just sync to windows media player drag and drop and start sync. also if you still remember the title of this review you should know that so far I have only been able to get my porn files to work. I am not sure if this is a condemnation or selling point. On top of that the conversion rate is slow. I tried converting 32 files and I literally fell asleep in my chair waiting for it to complete only to see it fail on the last 2 files. As i stated before the screen is bright and responsive but attracts fingerprints, dirt and pubic hair like a vacuum and if you forget to rename the files from say 1206.wmv to lets say Three chicks in bobby socks going at it in a gymnasium you'll only have thumbnail of the first frame to figure it out and a thumbnail on this screen is slightly larger than the X button on a browser. Also it is advertised as the SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB MP3 Player (Silver) but it is actually a rather dull gray which maybe a good thing since the only thing on it is mp3s and porn. Rating: - Love it so farI received this as a graduation gift. Having always used Sandisk mp3 products, I decided to keep up with it. My first mp3 player was the mp3 attachment you could get for the Cruzer Micro. That sucker went through the wash and still worked perfectly. I then moved on to the m200 series with a 1gb clip. I've had it for 2 years and simply wanted more space for songs. It still works perfectly. I'd read prior reviews that said the screen scratched easily so I made sure to buy a case with screen cover for it. I bought a separate accessories kit because of the proprietory cord instead of standard USB so I can charge in my car and through a wall outlet. So far, I'm very pleased with it. I've had no trouble with it and loaded my music easily. I didn't fool with the included disc because I'd used similar products before. I have never used WMP to load music, but instead I use Yahoo Music Jukebox because I can just drag and drop files. I don't care to sync between my computer and the player. I can easily drag and drop playlists if I prefer, but I tend to just like to randomly listen to whatever. I guess I could say the only cons are the battery being rechargeable (which everything is going to these days) because I'm a forgetful person, but I took caution to make sure that I would be able to charge it. The only other con I can think of would be that the volume is not as loud as my early m200 series. I use Skullcandy Lowriders, which does increase the volume some. It's not something that's terrible though because it can get pretty loud. I'm not sure how it affects other types of headphones though. For the price, you really can't beat what you get. Rating: - Not sure I got what I ordered - new vs. usedI received my Fuze 8 last week - it's really the first good mp3 that I've had. But I am not sure that I got a "new" player instead of a "used" player because it came with some music already in files. There are about 19 different songs from several different artists and albums. What is up? - Do all the players come with some songs already on it or did I get a "used" player? Help - I know very little about this. Rating: - Not As AdvertisedThe 8G Fuze and its "media converter" are nice, slim, and play music ok. But there are big cons: 1) The Supplied Disc takes ten minutes to install Rhapsody - it is unnecessary, even useless, for anything else. 2) The Media Converter program is not contained in the supplied disc, it must be found and downloaded from sansa/support. 3) The Folder on the supplied disc supposedly containing the Manual is empty. Nor is it available as a download from the site. 4) And that raises another problem: the media converter freezes when it tries to convert an MPeg4 video for the Fuze. Not only the program, but the entire program, freezes. everything has to be rebooted and don't dare try it twice or you'll have to reboot again. 5) We'll see how responsive the support team is; otherwise, return it quickly, they're not going to change or debug the problem issues -- and be sure to hang on to EVERYTHING that came with the unit (including frivolous upsells) and the hard (and hard to open) plastic containers (2). 6) Specifically, altho it advertises that it plays MPeg4, it will ot. In sum, if you don't like pictures or video, this will work well. But so will the Sansa Clip at a third of the cost. But the lack of documentation - especially the absence of the manual -- and the fusal to play MPeg4 (as advertised) and and the bug-ridden media converter take away one star each.
