Rating: - Great Soundtrack but Incomplete
I loved the music for Mamma Mia, but unfortunatly this soundtrack is incomplete. It has all of the songs minus three:
'Chiquitita'
'I Do, I Do, I Do'
& 'Waterloo'
With the addition of these three songs I would give this soundtrack five stars, but unfortunatly poeple like me who care about this sort of thing will have to wait for them to release a 'Complete' soundtrack to get all of the songs.

Rating: - So-So Performances
Going in, Mama Mia was working with the advantage of some very catchy, if flyweight tunes. But for a musical to really shine, the singers should be able to, you know, sing.

I just can't fathom the thought process behind casting Pierce Brosnan. There are no good looking, middle aged actors who actually have some vocal chops? Robert Lindsay may not be a poster boy, but he could have killed in that role.

I imagine there is a recording out there with a London or Broadway cast that would be much more rewarding listening.

Rating: - Love the movie
Whats better than a bunch of actors and actresses singing classic songs? Nothing. Hats off to the guys in this, none of whom are the greates singers but still give it a shot themselves rather than using a voiceover. Loved the movie, love the soundtrack. Definitely one that will last.

What can I say? I saw the movie quite a few times and just had to have the DVD. What a treasure!

Does in no way compare to "A Decca Broadway Original Recording (1999 London Cast)." If you love the music of ABBA, that's the one to buy!!!
